A 15-year-old boy was among six people killed in weekend violence in
Chicago and one of at least 24 shot since Friday afternoon.

Police said the teen was standing on a corner around 10 p.m. Saturday
with a 16-year-old boy when a group of people got out of a vehicle and
opened fire at them. The 15-year-old boy, later identified as Dekarlos
Scott, was shot in the head and pronounced dead at the scene. The
16-year-old boy was shot in the shoulder and taken to Roseland
Community Hospital in stable condition, according to authorities.
